To The Sea....

You may make a choice between footpaths or lanes to reach the beach at Charmouth.  From the top of Old Lyme Road a footpath descends through a small nature reserve and joins up with the coast path down onto the beach. For a more direct route, turn right at the bottom of the lane into Higher Sea Road. At the bend there is a choice of two footpaths that lead down onto the best fossil hunting beach in the county - a combination of sand and shingle with a good visitor centre.

This cosy cottage is at the top of a steep, no-through lane which skirts the edge of Lyme Regis Golf Club and leads to a small Nature Reserve with views over Lyme Regis. The sea can be seen from some rooms. At the front, the quiet south facing courtyard garden has shrubs, driftwood and pebble features. Parking on the lane.
